Charter College teachers donate to charity

The presents were brought to the facility and are being kept around the home’s Christmas tree.

The annual Secret Santa gift exchange at Charter College’s Christmas function was a memorable one for the teachers and general staff, because the teachers decided to add a twist to their traditional way of hosting the event by giving back to the community.

“Every year, the teachers and staff do a Secret Santa gift exchange at their Christmas function. This year we decided to give back a little too. We decided that along with our Secret Santa gift, we would each buy a needy child a gift for Christmas,” said Kirsty Anne Ledsham, from the school.

The staff picked St Laurence Children’s Haven in Florida, a non-profit organisation that caters for and provides safety to abused children.

The presents were recently handed over to the facility and kept under the home’s Christmas tree.
