A MUST READ: Another cash-in-transit heist at Hillfox

HILLFOX – The incident occurred on the morning of 4 March.

ROODEPOORT – The second cash-in-transfer heist in the last five months struck at the Hillfox Value Centre on the morning of 4 March.

Bystanders at the scene said that a group of armed suspects approached a cash-in-transit employee who had already collected cash outside the Food Lovers Market and was carrying it to the stationary van.

Management of Food Lovers Market did not want to comment on the matter. No injuries, or gunshots, were reported.

According to some unconfirmed reports on Twitter, four armed suspects got away in a red Nissan. While other unconfirmed reports said six armed suspects.

Although more details are unclear at this stage, bystanders said that police were on scene.

Comment from police spokesperson, Captain Kay Makhubela, is still awaited.

This is the second heist outside the Food Lovers Market since October last year.

Roodepoort Northsider reported last year that three suspects, one of whom was carrying a firearm, accosted the cash-in-transit van that was en route to the store.
