High hopes for revamped clubhouse

HONEYDEW – Eagle Canyon aims to woo golf enthusiasts at its revamped clubhouse.

HONEYDEW – David Christie, director of golf at Eagle Canyon Country Club is optimistic that the multi-million rand clubhouse revamps at the estate will have a huge impact on the attraction of golf enthusiasts.

This after the estate relaunched its clubhouse on 24 February, where they invited their corporate clients and industry partners to a corporate golf day at their exquisite golf course.

Christie and clubhouse manager, Gareth Madden made everyone feel welcome as they toured around the precinct to make sure their clients and sponsors were well taken care of.

“[Last year] we started the revamp of the clubhouse and it was completed at the beginning of this year, so we’re just launching to all our different communities of people who are tied up with the estate,” Christie explained.

The weather cleared up on the day allowing golfers to enjoy the game after days of showers linked to the tropical storm events of Dineo.

Eagle Canyon Clubhouse manager, Gareth Madden and director of golf, David Christie are excited about the golf day turnout.

 

Madden thanked all their corporate clients and the golfing community for their support.

“The turnout was fantastic. We [had] a great head sponsor [on the day], Samsung Business Direct who provided unbelievable prizes as well as sponsor, Pam Goulding Estates. We got to thank all our corporate clients and golfing community for joining us in celebrating what one could arguably say is the better-looking clubhouse in Johannesburg,” Madden boasted, adding that the clubhouse was open to the local community.
