Policing activities will increase following the increase of housebreakings and robberies plaguing the area.
Muldersdrift Police Station spokesperson Warrant Officer Masedi Masedi, said the station was currently adding more manpower, on a voluntary basis, to beef up policing activities
“Recruits for reservists are currently underway at the station. We are encouraging locals who are passionate about the area to apply for this opportunity,” said Masedi.
“This position does not guarantee a permanent placement at the station. Only South African citizen can apply.”
Masedi also issued tips if confronted by robbers:
- Never panic when there is a forced entry in the house
- Stay calm when approached by robbers and try to cooperate
- Avoid sudden actions whereby the attacker can be provoked
- Phone the police immediately on any of the sector numbers.
