Honeydew police’s very own Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs, was honoured for her achievement in the Junior Management Learning Programme, which lasted for seven weeks from 7 October to 11 November.
The programme is a form of management development training, which includes all training interventions aimed at developing and maintaining the management and leadership capacity (including support managers) of the police.
The training is aimed at developing skills within the police force to better serve the community. Jacobs spent this time away from her home and family. “It was tough being away from home but I learnt a lot of things I didn’t know before, which is always good,” she said.
Jacobs attended the course with 42 other police officers from all over South Africa. She was awarded best learner by achieving 92 per cent.
Honeydew police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan, congratulated Jacobs on behalf of the station and expressed how proud they all are of her outstanding achievement.
