Golf swings for Rocci
RUIMSIG – Golfers support Rocci with an annual golf day hosted at Ruimsig Country Club.
The Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rocci) once again hosted their annual golf day to raise funds at the Ruimsig Country Club.
Rocci vice president, Quintus Lottering said that businesses came together and sponsored all 18 holes for the day. There were 18 teams of four players each that played on 9 June. According to Lottering, the funds raised will be used for training that businesses affiliated with Rocci might have a need for. “It may be job creation, legal or any other training needed,” said Lottering.
He explained that Rocci has two big fundraisers per year and this golf day is the first one of the year. “Golf is a very good networking sport. It is a way for businesses to network,” said Lottering. The golf day ended with a dinner and prize-giving ceremony at the club. “Such a day will not be possible without the support of sponsors. We would like to thank EC Security for their sponsorship,” concluded Lottering.
The weather was perfectly sunny for the day and the golfers were in high spirits.
