Allen Glen tennis championship celebration
ALLEN'S NEK –Tennis stars at Allen Glen High School celebrate after a well performed season.
The Allen Glen High School tennis team came together to compete in a team championship to close off the season.
Male and female players of the tennis team competed against each other on 13 May to establish who the overall victors were.
The players and coaches also enjoyed a couple friendly games against each other. Allen Glen tennis convener Leon du Toit said, “This championship is a great way to end off a splendid season we have had as a team.”
The two championships were played against:
Katleho Makgalemele with Seth Rance who took the win on both of his sets with a score of 6–3; 6–3 taking first place.
Khanyisile Mahlangu and Courtney Foster played a marathon game lasting 2 hours and 10 minutes, with Foster taking the win on both sets with 7–6; 7–6.
The players also enjoyed a great lunch afterward.
