Trinityhouse says ‘NO’ to human trafficking

LITTLE FALLS – Pupils and teachers are happy to be highlight and contribute to a worthwhile cause.

Over the past few weeks the outreach focus at Trinityhouse High School Little Falls has been on human trafficking. The aim of this drive is to create awareness about the dangers of human trafficking among the pupils as well as in the surrounding community.

A further focus was to reach out to the victims of human trafficking by collecting clothing. On 6 May pupils and teachers dressed in black and formed a ‘NO’ on the field to show solidarity in the fight against this awful crime. To create awareness some photographs of the outreach were posted online and had almost 16 000 views in four days.

As part of the campaign, thirty large boxes and some bags were filled with second-hand clothing that was collected. The EPIC Foundation, an organisation that creates awareness and reaches out to victims of rape, abuse and human trafficking, collected the clothing for distribution at a safe house.

Trinityhouse High School Little Falls thanked everyone who contributed to this worthwhile cause and helped create awareness in the community.
