Western Gauteng dominates in netball
HILLFOX – The seven and six-a-side results of open and mixed provincials are in.
The finals of the Provincial Open’s Tournament was held at the Hillfox Action Sports Arena on 20 February. The week of action netball finished off with a medal ceremony for all the players.
The results of the Western Gauteng teams, seven-a-side (from Hillfox and the Fourways Actions Sports Arena) were:
- Western Gauteng women’s A team:
Won gold against Western Province (55–39). Player of the final was Samantha McGregor from Western Gauteng.
- Western Gauteng women’s B team:
Won gold against Southern Gauteng (42–30). The player of the final was Steff Blain from Western Gauteng.
- Western Gauteng men’s A team:
Won gold against Western Province (34–30). Chris James from Western Gauteng was player of the final.
- Western Gauteng women’s six-a-side B team
Won gold against Northern Gauteng (42–31). Eldrie Wese from Western Gauteng was the player of the match.
- Western Gauteng men’s six-a-side
Won gold against Western Province (37–32). Warren Carolin from Western Gauteng was player of the final.
