SAPS and CPF to collect water a second time

HONEYDEW – With many communities still in the recovery period after a damaging drought, Honeydew SAPS and CPF do their part to help.

With the success of the previous water collection on 22 January, the Honeydew SAPS and Honeydew CPF will be collecting water again to be donated to the Rocci Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Water Drive alongside Water Shortage SA on 19 February.

Jon Rosenberg, public relations officer of the Honeydew CPF said that they will again be collecting water at Panorama Primary School on 18 February between 5pm and 6pm or on 19 February before 9am. People can also take water to the Honeydew SAPS on 18 and 19 February before 11am. The Honeydew SAPS and CPF will be hoping to top the 2 397 litres of water that they donated to the Rocci Water Drive the previous time.

Rosenberg urged community members to bring water either bought or tap water as many communities in drought-stricken areas are still in need of water.
