Help Sarda this Christmas

RUIMSIG – The South African Riding for the Disabled Association is asking for help this Christmas.

The South African Riding for the Disabled Association (Sarda) Gauteng aims to provide the opportunity for therapeutic and recreational horse riding for disabled people so that they may benefit in all aspects of their mental, physical and social lives. In order for Sarda Gauteng to survive they depend on donations from the public. Help Sarda Gauteng this Christmas by donating items from their wishlist.

Sarda Gauteng wished for:

  • Feed and supplements for 10 ponies and two donkeys
  • Salaries for a stable manager, two grooms, a part time gardener, fundraiser and secretary
  • Office supplies and consumables
  • Sponsorship for printing requirements
  • Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits
  • Security, insurance, telephone
  • Maintenance of lawn mower, grass cutter, electric fence, gate motor, plumbing
  • Equus Train n Leisure (food for pony) – five bags per month
  • Good quality teff, eragrostis and lucerne
  • Supplements: Multivitamin, minerals, amino acids and herbal dewormer
  • Ceilings, insulation, windows, sand, rubber chips and a drainage system
  • Cooling unit
  • Awning or small verandah
  • Lockable filing cabinet and freestanding shelving
  • Geyser
  • Washing line – fold away preferably
  • Catering supplies and storage cupboards
  • Plastic chairs and trestle tables.
