Allen Glen High announces 2016 leaders
ALLEN’S NEK – Cheers, applause and joyful tears were abundant at the election of Allen Glen High School 2016 leaders.
Family and staff gathered in the Allen Glen High School hall on 27 August to witness the induction of leaders for 2016.
In a beautiful ceremony, 32 boys and girls of Grade 11 were selected to lead their school.
Parents or guardians were invited up to the stage to share in the excitement of the accolade.
Each leader was asked to sign a pledge dedicating themselves to bettering and promoting Allen Glen High School’s morals inside and outside the school.
Exiting girl and boy presidents, Ashleigh Bowker and Bruce Mavhungu said, “We never expected our Matric year to end so soon. We are so excited for the new leaders to start. We wish them only the best and hope they enjoy it as much as we did.”
The families in a heartfelt moment adorned their girl or boy leader with their new blazer.
Many tears were shed and, of course, tons of loud cheers and applause.
The most awaited part of the ceremony arrived where the girl and boy presidents were elected along with their executive heads.
