Homemade make-up remover

It is no secret that the more advanced make-up is becoming, the longer and stronger its wear is becoming. That is great when you want it on but a nightmare when you want to wash it off. Many make-up wearers have now turned to using make-up remover, but many of these solutions contain tones of harsh chemicals. I have my doubts whether these solutions are actually good for your skin especially the sensitive skin underneath your eyes. I have some natural make-up removers I personally use which are not only effective but add nutrition to your skin. Bonus!

You will be able to find most of these ingredients lying around your house or in your local health store.

Believe it or not avocado oil actually works as a “remover” and a moisturiser. Just put a little of the oil on a swab or ear-bud and wipe away your eye make-up.

Try this combination: 3 tbsp. of grape seed oil combined with 1 tbsp. of castor oil. Stir together in a cup and use – this works well for sensitive skin.

One that I find works exceptionally well is jojoba oil. Just combine 1 tbsp. of jojoba oil to 2 tbsp. of water. It works great and is worth a try, and it is non-allergenic so it is perfect for use on eyes and the face.

Now here’s such a clever easy to use home recipe – I loved this:

You will need a small jar with a lid and cotton balls or pads for this one.

1 ½ tbsp. of coconut Oil

1 tbsp. of castile Soap

½ a cup of distilled water

Method:

Stuff your jar full of your cotton balls.

Mix your Coconut oil and Castile soap together and pour over the cotton balls in your jar.

Now pour the distilled water over the wet cotton balls – just enough to soak the cotton balls

Put your lid tightly on your jar and shake so each ball is evenly coated.

Now you can use the cotton balls to wipe off any make-up on your face – super easy!

So enjoy a healthy, natural and fresh face with a touch of nature.
