Man found dead in garage

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Honeydew Police confirms that a case of housebreaking, robbery and murder has been opened following the death of a man on 15 April.

A case of housebreaking, robbery and murder has been opened at Honeydew Police following a murder in the area on 15 April.

Honeydew Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs explained that a man was found dead in his garage in Weltevreden Park.

“It is alleged that the deceased man’s son received a call that his father did not fetch the children from school.”

Jacobs added that the son then went to his father’s house and discovered his father’s body in the garage.

“The circumstances surrounding the death of the victim is still under investigation as there are no witnesses currently.”

She asked that anyone with more information to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable David Ndabandaba.
