Little critters up above the roof

The residents of a hostel in Cosmo city discovered seven little surprises on the roof of their building on 14 January.

Ecosolutions was contacted and took the seven barn owls to a rehabilitation centre and sent them for a check-up at a local veterinary clinic.

Tendai Remwa, spokesperson for the Township Owl Project, said the owls were picked up last week.

“We found seven owlets, two of them have already flown away. It is encouraging now that people are contacting us in the township when they find owls, instead of killing them.”

The owlets were placed in an owl box on top of the roof and the residents are happy with nature’s ratters.
