Missing child found safe and sound

The parents of Tokelo Masuoane were overjoyed with relief when their child was found after he had gone missing.

“He was reported missing on 8 January [in Cosmo City], but was found the following day. He went to visit his friend in Cosmo City and slept over without telling his parents,” said Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs.

WO Jacobs further warns that community members should not hesitate to report missing persons and that there is no waiting period. In the case of Masuoane, parents should talk to their children on the dangers of visiting friends and families or simply wandering off without telling an adult.
