Fight for a cleaner suburb

FEATHERBROOKE – Residents and businesses embark on a campaign to see their suburb litter free.

With litter being one of the major problems in Gauteng, Featherbrooke residents don’t want their suburb to be part of the contributors in the statistics of litter. Residents have partnered with local businesses in the area to make the dream of a cleaner suburb a reality.

Local residents together with Featherbrooke Estate Home Owner’s Association, Feather Square KwikSpar and Tops, Remax Masters and BLD Communications have teamed up to make the project a success as it has already been running for quite some time now.

They have embarked on a project dubbed Keep Featherbrooke Clean that sees to the continuous cleaning of streets around the area. The project is not only making the area clean but has provided much-needed employment to a few individuals who are now litter collectors.
