Chef gives a food demonstration

For most food lovers, Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley was the place to be on 27 September.

Food demonstrator and Chef Ann Smit made a guest appearance at the store to give a free cooking demo.

The chef was accompanied by her daughter Lee-Ann Wright, who is also a chef.

The duo cooked some of the recipes from the Hirsch’s recipe book. They prepared a mouthwatering three course meal that left the audience asking for more.

Maritjie Van der Merwe, who was one of the people who attended the session, said she found it very informative.

“Ann makes cooking look very easy and what I love more about her is that she always teaches her audience on the alternatives they can use in the kitchen,” said Van der Merwe.
