WELTEVREDEN PARK - Brazilian Soccer School is making an 8-year-old boy's dreams come true.

Vusi Mokoena* from Ikholwa House is finally living his dream.

Vusi is one of the few youngsters who was chosen to be sponsored by the Brazilian Soccer School – for every four paying children, the school sponsors one child.

“Soccer makes me feel great and funny inside, it is my dream to play soccer,” said Vusi.

Meeting at Brazilian Soccer School in Randpark Ridge, Vusi and his coach shared the youngster’s excitement to be part of a school that caters for his needs.

Coach Shannon Allan says he is thrilled by how the youngster enjoys playing soccer.

“He has been very good since he got here, he has talent and he keeps on improving on his skills,” says Allan.

Allan also mentioned that “We decided to sponsor him because we saw that he is dedicated….we don’t just sponsor anyone, we look at potential children who love playing soccer.”

Vusi started playing soccer at a very young age.

Excited that Vusi is now living his dream, Ikholwa House’s admin manager Ulrike Mann said, “Vusi is an incredible child, he always plays from the heart and he wants to be a top player in the near future.”

“When Vusi started, he was so chuffed,” she added. “You could see it in his eyes that he is really passionate about soccer.”

Vusi’s favourite player is Lionel Messi from Barcelona FC.

“I love Messi, and I want to play for Barcelona one day,” said the beaming Vusi.

Brazilian Soccer School, which is based in Ruimsig and Randpark Ridge hopes to sponsor more talented children like Vusi with the help of parents in the community.

The aim of Brazilian Soccer School is to provide a platform to create the complete and perfect footballer.
