City Power area managers at residents’ fingertips
JOBURG – You might be relieved to know that logging a complaint to City Power has been made simpler.
Joburg residents, who have had little success when logging complaints or queries about power disruptions with City Power, can now contact the relevant area manager directly.
In a bid to improve service delivery and transparency, City Power has mandated its area managers to serve as an additional interface between the public and the utility on electricity-related matters including power outages and fault logging.
City Power has advised residents that queries related to power losses, which were not resolved timeously, should be escalated to the area manager responsible for that area.
According to the utility, people should continue to log their queries through its call centre on 086 056 2874 or its website www.citypower.co.za or www.citypower.mobi.
However, once the query was logged on these platforms and a reference number was allocated, if no feedback was received within four hours – as stipulated in the utility’s customer charter – the area manager in that region should be contacted.
