Nurses celebrated across the globe

On Monday 12 May, nurses at Wilgeheuwel Hospital in Radiokop were honoured and celebrated for the hard work they put in daily.

The hospital organised lunch and some of the management from Life Health Care came to celebrate the day with the nurses.

The celebration was in conjunction with recognition of International Nurses’ Day which is celebrated throughout the world on 12 May in commemoration of the birthday of founder Florence Nightingale.

Marketing Officer of the hospital said while they held the day to celebrate their nurses, nurses at their hospital lit candles and recited the nurses’ pledge, to remind themselves and each other of the promise they made to care for people, to work with doctors and provide life to those that needed it.
