Do you have what it takes to be a Woman of Substance ambassador?
The Woman of Substance group has become well known in Roodepoort for its contribution to fundraising for charities in the area.
They are currently looking for strong female leaders and role models to become Woman of Substance ambassadors to help them with their various fundraising endeavours throughout the year.
The group appoints ambassadors who raise funds by initiating their own projects, organising events, and appealing to corporate sponsors and the public for support.
Project director Charlotte du Plessis explained that Woman of Substance was borne out of a need to serve the community. “Our core purpose and mission is to make a difference and to reach out to those less fortunate,” she said.
Last year, Woman of Substance raised a whopping R60 000 for Child Welfare South Africa’s Roodepoort branch.
This year they are planning to raise even more for the non-profit organisation. “We are currently recruiting women who have depth of character and are prepared to get involved,” said Du Plessis.
The only qualities you need are having a kind heart, a gentle touch and a lot of ambition. But most of all, you need to be a woman of substance.
