A shoplifter who stole a several items from a garage shop in North Riding in the early hours last week Thursday has been successfully apprehended and arrested due to the quick actions of ADT Reaction Officers Bernard Shumba and Simon Motsisi.

The cashier at the garage pressed her panic button when the shoplifter left the store and was able to give the two responding officers a good description of the man. Reaction Officer Shumba remembered seeing someone that matched that description. He quickly patrolled the area and managed to apprehend the suspect along Malibongwe Drive.

All the stolen goods from the shop were recovered and the suspect was handed over to Constable Makhubo from the Honeydew Police Station.
