The cream of Roodepoort’s athletic crop assembled at the Ruimsig Athletics Stadium for the West Rand District meet on Friday, 28 February.

Hoërskool Roodepoort, Hoërskool Florida and Allen Glen High School were among the key competitors at this showcase of athletic excellence. One of the more impressive performances on the day was by Wandile Mwafuliswa of Allen Glen High. Wandile won the open boys high jump, breaking his personal best to scale the bar at 1,82m.
