West Rand Wrestlers take gold in Mufasa Challenge
Once again the West Rand wrestlers showed nerves of steel on the wrestling mat and managed to bag an impressive 30 medals.
The Wesrand Stoei Gimnasium wrestlers participated in the Central Gauteng Mufasa Tournament on Saturday, 15 February. The tournament was held at the Danie van Zyl Hall in Newlands.
Challenges such as load-shedding and other problems did not halt the West Rand wrestlers’ preparations for the tournament as they gave an outstanding performance. They showed nerves of steel on the wrestling mat and managed to bag an impressive 30 medals – 17 gold, nine silver and four bronze – to sum up a very successful tournament.
