Are you Roodepoort’s newest millionaire?

Someone in Roodepoort purchased the winning PowerBall Ticket on Tuesday, 4 February but they haven't come forward to collect their R114 million prize.

Someone in Roodepoort has just become over R114 million richer. The problem is, we don’t know who won.

The National Lottery Operator, ITHUBA, announced that the winning Powerball ticket for Tuesday, 4 February, was purchased in Roodepoort and the mystery winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize of R114 580 902.70.

ITHUBA said that the ticket was bought at Victor and Son Corner Café for R5, and all the numbers were manually selected. Tuesday night’s PowerBall jackpot became the first one of the year to be over R100 million.

Tuesday’s winning ticket was the first jackpot of 2020 to be over R100 million, and makes the mystery millionaire the winner of the fifth highest jackpot in the history of the National Lottery.

“With a jackpot of this magnitude, we really hope that the winner will make contact with us in the coming days. We encourage all players, especially players from Johannesburg and surrounding areas to check their tickets”, says Khensani Mabuza, Corporate Relations Executive at ITHUBA.
