Boy hides as robbers loot house

Only two incidents reported to operations room.

Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch (RNW) has released its crime report for the weekend and although only two crimes were reported, one was of a very disturbing nature.

On Saturday, 19 January, at about 2.15pm, four male suspects in a Mercedes Hatchback robbed a house in Steinmann Street. They lifted the driveway gate to gain entry to the property. They then broke open the rear security gate and kicked the door in. Unbeknown to them, a 13-year-old boy was in the house but he remained cool-headed and hid in his room while calling for assistance. The suspects stole a flat-screen TV, a tablet and an X-box before fleeing.
