Fallen tree brings traffic to a standstill on Ontdekkers Road

Expect traffic delays on Ontdekkers Road

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes because of a fallen tree on Ontdekkers Service Road in front of Westridge High School which is causing a traffic backlog.

Ward 71 councillor, René Benjamin has been at the scene since the early hours of this morning, Friday, 18 January.

“The tree has damaged the school fence but I have informed the school of the incident. A City Parks team is on its way. We ask motorists to be patient when driving on Ontdekkers Road as all traffic normally using the service road has been redirected to Ontdekkers Road, causing delays. We urge motorists to drive cautiously,” she said.
