Whether it is for work reasons, or personal, if you have decided to pack things up and list your property for sale in Roodepoort to head to Pretoria, then we could assist with the search for your new home.

We recently stumbled upon an article done by Private Property, where they scraped through data on their own website to determine which suburbs in Pretoria were most popular.

There has been growing demand for property in the city, especially among young families and professionals. The opportunity of excellent employment options is a big drawcard when looking to move to a major city, while the solid infrastructure and reliable transport options is another major factor.

To work out which suburbs were proving most popular, they looked at the number of times each sale listing was viewed in Pretoria in July 2018, and then created a top 10 list, where they detailed the area and provided the Median Asking Price.

The full top 10 was as follows:

  1. Waverley (Moot) – R1 995 000
  2. Erasmuskloof (Pretoria East) – R1 950 000
  3. Queenswood (Moot) – R1 350 000
  4. Garsfontein (Pretoria East) – R1 650 000
  5. Lynnwood (Pretoria Central) – R2 897 000
  6. Rietvalleirand (Pretoria East) – R2 133 553
  7. Elardus Park (Pretoria East) – R1 490 000

  9. Moreleta Park (Pretoria East) – R1 795 000
  10. Faerie Glen (Pretoria East) – R1 985 000
