We just wanted to express our gratitude towards Tamlynn Martin and Joshua Goliath, who had the brilliant idea of hosting a soccer tournament in honour of the four teenagers (Kyle, Keanu, Liam and Maleehah) who lost their lives in a horrific accident last year.
The tournament took place on 29 September at the McDonald Indoor Stadium and everyone who attended was provided with delicious hotdogs, boerwors rolls and ice-cold soft drinks.
There were 160 players and 28 teams participating, and everyone had great fun. The winners of the tournament were Davi United (men) and Powerpuff Girls (women). The trophies they received are floating trophies, which they will defend at the next tournament.
We also wanted to give huge thank yous to Ronsley, Michelle, Martin, Gary and Ernest for all their support throughout the planning, plus all our children’s friends who participated.
It was an amazing day!
