If only the ward councillors in charge of Christian de Wet and JG Strydom Roads would follow our honourable Mayor Mashaba’s example, and ensure that streets lights are fixed by City Power.
The same goes for the lights on Progress Road, from the flats in Grobler Park all the way up to the Baptist Church on the left-hand-side of Progress Road.
But then again, when we go to work at 5am they are still fast asleep, snug in their beds.
So why should they worry?
If every councillor worked like our Honourable Mayor, the City of Joburg and all her suburbs would be the standard for other city management teams to follow.
We would be living in a world class city, of which we would be very proud.
But now? Get off your posteriors and implement the Diphetogo programme.
