Support the Lions Clubs with food collections

'Lions Clubs around the country will be participating in this worthy cause'

Mandela Day is around the corner, and various Lions Clubs will be assisting with Pick ‘n Pay’s Mandela Day Food Collection project.

“The Lions Clubs of Roodepoort Host, Wilro Park, Helderkruin, Clearwater Cyber and Weltevreden Park will be at Pick ‘n Pay The Falls, at the The Falls Shopping Centre on Hendrik Potgieter Road from 13 to 16 July,” said Sandy van Heerden, the District Chairman: Public Relations.

She added that hunger is one of the Lions Clubs’ Pillars of Service and said, “That is why we are happy to be involved with this project, as we know that the food will be going to those who need it most! In addition to the abovementioned clubs being at The Falls Shopping Centre, Lions Clubs throughout the country will also be participating at a Pick ‘n Pay store near them, to ask shoppers to make a difference by donating food to this worthy cause,” she concluded.
