Warning: Beware of these fraudsters
Alexander Forbes warns community to be vigilant
Alexander Forbes wishes to warn their members of fraudsters operating in the areas of Eldorado Park, Ennerdale and Pretoria.
In a recent press release it was said that the company had received reports that these fraudsters are promising to process pension claims from the company for a fee.
The release stated that Alexander Forbes wanted to confirm that these people were not contracted by them, as they will never ask someone to pay money upfront to process a claim. The company only uses authorised tracing agents to ensure members are traced to start the claim process.
The tracing agents will do the following:
• Identify themselves appropriately
• Ask potential beneficiaries to submit the relevant claim form
• Never ask you for any payment
Anyone approached by someone asking them to pay a fee before their claim can be processed should contact Alexander Forbes immediately on 0860 100 333.
