How to combine Easter and April Fool’s Day
Here's how to prank your loved ones in celebration of Easter.
Even though Easter isn’t the typical occasion for pranking your friends, family or co-workers, it falls on April Fool’s Day this year, and what better way to celebrate these holidays than to combine them?
This phenomenon does not occur very often, which means that one simply has to consider getting creative with it as handing out chocolate eggs any other day of the year might raise some suspicion.
Here’s how to prank your loved ones in celebration of Easter:
• Get real with Easter eggs:
1. Acquire an egg
2. Melt some chocolate
3. Dip the egg in the melted chocolate ensuring a smooth surface
4. Wrap egg in coloured aluminium foil
5. Say ‘Happy Easter’ while handing over the egg
6. Sit back and enjoy the show
• Hide and seek:
This one is simple. Show your loved ones you care by hiding eggs inside your house. Even though this might sound thoughtful, keep in mind that it is, after all, April Fool’s Day. The trick is to use real eggs – not chocolate candy. Make it a real ‘surprise’ by hiding them in the following places:
1. On top of slightly opened doors (making sure the eggs rests on top of the door, leaning against the wall)
2. Inside a bathroom cabinet
3. Using tape, place an egg on a door hinge
4. If your toilet paper is held up by a holder mounted to a wall, place the egg underneath the first or second layer, and let it rest against the wall.
5. On top of a ceiling fan blade
6. Hide an egg underneath an upside-down cup in the top cabinet.
7. On top of the shower curtain folds
• Eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner:
This is a timeless practical joke. All you need is tape, an egg, a microwave and preferably a tall person.
1. Tape the egg to the roof of the microwave, and switch on the machine
2. Wait one minute
The egg will explode and no-one will be able to trace it back to you.
