Two factors to affect security in these areas
A warning has been issued by the Kruin Community Voluntary Association for residents in Wilro Park, Roodekrans and Helderkruin areas.
In a Whatsapp post they wrote, “Due to the power failure that will affect our alarm and electric fence battery back-ups, as well as the fact that it is dustbin collection day, our security risks are currently high. We need to be extra vigilant.
Be on the lookout for unknown loiterers and unknown roaming vehicles. Report such activity immediately on your security group or to your security company to ensure a prompt response. If at home, keep your doors locked and make sure you are aware of movement and sounds on your property.

Keep an eye on your street and make sure you see the opportunists before they see you, in order to surprise them. Limit your phone use to ensure enough battery power to call for help if needed”.
