Today (18 December) cross-examination of Marthinus Pelser will continue.
On Thursday (14 December) during the first day of cross-examination by State Prosecutor Paseka Temeki, Pelser contradicted himself, gave bizarre explanations for events and even admitted on the stand at one stage that he lied to the court.
Pelser stands accused of having murdered his six-month-old baby, Deon, on 9 June 2016.
