Operating hours at CoJ service centres during holiday period

Customers to pay accounts through third parties or EFT during this period

 

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) has released details of its customer service centre’s operating hours during the holiday period.

From 15 December until 10 January, all centres will be operating from 7.30am to 3.30pm (Monday to Friday). No centres will be open on Saturdays during this time.

The City’s spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela said, “Our revenue customer service centres will be closed on the following days: 16, 23, 25, 26 and 30 December as well as 1 and 6 January.”

He advised customers to continue making payments on their accounts, to avoid interrupted services. “Customers who wish to pay their accounts, should use third parties or pay via EFT, using their nine-digit account numbers as reference,” he said.

The following methods can be used:

• Easy Pay, available at Pick ‘n Pay and Shoprite Checkers stores

• Debit orders• Direct deposits at major banks

• ATM transfers

• Internet and cellphone banking

• South African Post Office

“Should you not receive your account in time, either pay the same amount as the previous month or call Joburg Connect on 0860 Joburg (562 874) to find out how much you owe. You can also register to receive your accounts every month by email. All you need to do is register on the City’s website atwww.joburg.org.za. We wish you a happy festive season!” Kgamanyane concluded.
