Show your muscles and support charity

Enter the Mr and Miss West Rand Classic Bodies competition

Have you always wanted to show off your muscles while supporting a good cause? Then this competition is for you!

The Mr and Miss West Rand Classic Bodies charity competition has become an annual benchmark of social cohesion and upliftment for children in need of protection and care, and a platform for the identification of local talent.

“Every year, this classic bodybuilding/ physique and fitness charity competition pulls hundreds of athletes, spectators, celebrities, media and high-profile government officials under one umbrella,” said Donald Nyirenda, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ikusasa Foundation.

This year’s event will be taking place on 30 September at the Krugersdorp Town Hall from 8 am with ticket prices ranging from R80 to R150. Entries are R150 for registration and R150 for affiliation.

“This year the Bodybuilding Association South Africa and International Federation of Bodybuilding, the only federations recognised by the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), and the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture sanctioned the event. This means that athletes participating will have the opportunity to qualify for the prestigious Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Africa competition in 2018,” he said.

The main beneficiary this year is the Ikusasa Child, Youth and Community Development Centre, which caters for children living and working on the streets, as well as orphans.
