Duo represent Central Gauteng

Duo will represent Central Gauteng

24 Seven Trampoline and Gymnastics Club duo, Caela Truter and Dianè Kriek, have been awarded Senior Central Gauteng colours. They are being rewarded for their topnotch performances in the Level 6 Women’s Pairs category at the Gauteng Acro-gymnastics competition.

Dianè is a passionate gymnast and is completely dedicated to the sport. The ten-year-old said that she does not participate in any other sport because her goal is to become a national gymnast.

“I feel great to have been rewarded for all the hours I have put into training. Although it has been a busy few weeks, it did not impact my training level.”

Caela, who is 12-years-old, and also a talented netball player, has perfected the balance between her love of sport and academics.

“I love netball but gymnastics just gives me life. When I’m at the club practicing my routines, I feel more like myself. At the club there is nobody to judge me negatively and Coach Luitha Roux is very attentive,” she said.

The duo will now be fine-tuning their routines for the national competition later this year.
