Victorious in Potch

Young players excel away from home

The Maragon Private Schools cricket team played their first match of the Heritage Festival in Potchefstroom. Maragon played against Potchefstroom Boys High School and beat them by seven wickets after bowling them out for 91 runs.

Maragon’s bowlers contributed to the victory with good bowling. In five overs, Emanuel Motswiri got three wickets at a cost of 26 runs. Kuda Kadyamadare bowled two overs and got three wickets for just 11 runs. Brent Barendsen bowled five overs and got one wicket at a cost of 14 runs. Jesse Bristow was the best batsman of the day as he scored 27 runs off 22 balls.
