According to the Florida Police spokesperson, Sergeant Mpho More, the 41-year-old woman had picked up a male passenger at the Cresta Shopping Centre, and driven him to Maraisburg.

“When they arrived at the passenger’s destination in Maraisburg, the passenger began fighting with the female driver and took the car keys from her. She tried to get the keys back from the passenger, but was overpowered,” More said.

More added that the man threw acid on the driver before leaving her in the street and taking her vehicle. “The vehicle was recovered later, but the suspect is still at large,” she concluded.
