Meet someone new by striking up a conversation on #NationalTalkInAnElevatorDay
National Talk In An Elevator Day is observed annually, on the last Friday in July, and this year it is celebrated on 28 July.
This day was created to encourage people to make conversation with the people sharing the elevator with them. Most of us use the time spent riding in the elevator to either check our smart devices for emails, messages, appointments or other notifications, while some of us will spend it by looking at our shoes, staring at the lights indicating which floor we are on, or maybe just staring straight ahead.
Today, you are encouraged to take a break, strike up a conversation, and meet someone new. You never know, that person might become your best friend! Reach out to your fellow elevator passenger – he or she might just be a very interesting person.
