24 Seven Gymnasts impress Arnold

Gymnastic club finds success in Arnold Classic

More than 1 500 athletes competed in over 58 sporting codes at the Arnold Classic Sports Festival recently. Gymnastics was just one of the sport codes.

The 24 Seven Gymnastics and Trampoline Club athletes excelled in the competition in Sandton, winning 26 medals.

Diane Kriek won the most gold medals, coming home with two golds and one bronze, and was named top achiever at the festival.

Monè and Huibrecht Groenewald each won a gold medal, while Bonolo Tiro won one gold and one silver medal. Caela Truter and Nicole Swanepoel won a bronze medal each, and JC Roux won a gold and a bronze for trampolining.

Zander Joubert, Tsebang Teka and Stefan Jansen van Vuuren made their club proud, walking off with medals on debut. Zander won a silver medal while Tsebang and Stefan each won a silver and a bronze.

Duncan Shlebush won a gold medal while Joshua Groenewald won one gold and one silver. Dian Bekker won a silver and Nita Marais won a bronze.

Dianè Kriek was named top achiever.

Arielle Groenewald won a gold and a silver medal, and Louisa Groenewald won a bronze.

JP Roux won a gold medal and Faatimah Bodhania won a bronze.
