Maragon achieves Blood Donor award

School wins prestigious award

Maragon Ruimsig High School received an award for the most blood donated in 2016 at the Egoli Zone Awards. The school was invited by the South African National Blood Services and was one of many high schools across Johannesburg that participated in this event.

The purpose of the event was to celebrate young people in schools who also help contribute to the quality of life of others during their academic days.

Maragon’s Vice-chairperson for the blood drive, Kyla Malotana, who is in Grade 11, accepted the award on behalf of the school.

Maragon Ruimsig’s aim is to be the first school to get 100 donations in a day.
