Annual Lions ‘Buddy Day’ held at Westridge

QPR Emergency service on standby.

Last Saturday (22 April) saw the Lions hosting their annual Buddy Day at West Ridge High School.

The event is held to treat the mentally challenged who are the special guests for the day. Learners from high schools on the West Rand volunteer to escort and treat their guests during the event. The Lions in turn each sponsor a stall with goodies ranging from food to entertainment. As usual, West Ridge High School provided their facilities free of charge, as did QPR Emergency services who were on standby for any medical emergencies.

The Lions clubs that took part in this year’s event were Lions Club Northcliff, Lions Club Helderkruin, Lions Club Krugersdorp, Lions Club Florida, Lions Club Clearwater Cyber, Lions Club Weltevreden and Lions Club The Wilds.
