Bullseye for Magda

“It feels good to know that my hard work has paid off. As seniors of the club, we have to lead by example and be bolder in our approach”

Inyala Archery Club’s ace, Magdel Wilhelm, has been chosen to be part of the National Archery in the Schools (NASP) All Stars team. She will soon be jetting off to Namibia, where she and the rest of the team will face off against numerous regional teams such as those from Zimbabwe and Namibia.

She is one of four female and four male archers to have been selected for the team. Magdel has been knocking on the door to the All Stars team after grabbing gold and silver medals in the recent Inter-Provincial competitions. This solidified her place in the Top 5 junior archers in the country and in the Top 10 overall, positions she has kept since last season.

“It feels good to know that my hard work has paid off. As seniors of the club, we have to lead by example and be bolder in our approach,” said Magdel.

The archer, who excels in the 10m and 15m distances, is aiming for 285 points in Namibia and will be working harder than ever to achieve this score.
