Johannesburg Water (JW) is aware of the water outage affecting residents of Roodepoort North and surrounding areas and has dispatched technicians to attend to the matter.
According to JW, the outage was caused by a burst pipe on the corner of Fifth Avenue and First Street, and affects residents in Roodepoort North, Discovery, Horison and parts of Florida.
Although the initial burst was repaired yesterday (21 February) the heavy rainfall caused a wall to collapse onto the pipe. Technicians are back in the area today (22 February) and are already busy with repairs.
