Warning: Road closed again after protest flares up
Take these alternative routes.
At about 1pm (15 February) Albertina Sisulu Road was closed again after a protest by residents of Princess informal settlement flared up again.
The police and Metro Police are currently on scene. The stretch from Corlett Avenue to Wilgespruit Street has been closed off. Anyone who needs to travel from Progress Road to Corlett Avenue or visa versa should rather use Ontdekkers Road or alternatively South Road.
Last night saw the protesters pelting police vehicles and looting a truck transporting frozen chicken.
