Win tickets to Tumi Morake’s show

Tumi Morake's show promises to have you rolling with laughter

Tumi Morake will be gracing the stage at Silverstar Casino on 25 February starring in her not be missed show, Tumi or not Tumi – and you can win one of three sets of tickets.

The show follows her journey as she tries to find herself in the schizophrenia of motherhood, wifehood and South African-hood – and still be the Queen of comedy.

Raw and unapologetic, the show promises to be thought-provoking by providing glimpses of what life could be like if we just put in a little effort. The show will definitely put her – and all of us watching – under the spotlight.

Tumi made history when she was crowned as the first female Comic of the Year during the sixth annual Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards. She has been going from strength to strength since starting her career in 2006, growing into one of South Africa’s most sought-after comedians. She has a variety of nominations and awards under her belt, including receiving the 2016 YOU Spectacular Award for Best Comedian of the Year.

Tumi is very excited to be doing a South African tour and said, “After 10 years in the industry, it’s crazy that I have never done a South African tour. Well, the time has finally arrived. The comedy industry in this country has grown so much in terms of offerings and demand. South Africans seem to have an insatiable appetite for it and hopefully I can whet their taste buds with this new show. There are people who have heard of Tumi Morake, there are people who have seen Tumi Morake but there are many that don’t actually know Tumi Morake. They are finally going to meet her.”

The show is rated PG16 and tickets cost R150 per per person. Tickets can be bought at Computicket and at the venue box office. The show will start at 7pm.

To win tickets, send an email, with your name, surname and contact details to adeleb@caxton.co.za with “Tumi Morake Giveaway” in the subject line. Entries close on 20 February at noon.
