Photos: Man dead after bikes collide head-on

This past Saturday at about noon, a motorcycle rider died after colliding head-on with another rider.

The accident took place on the first bend of Ruhama Drive just past Timotheus Street. It is believed that the motorcycle travelling towards Ontdekkers Road veered into the opposite lane, colliding head on with the other motorcycle. The rider travelling towards Ouklip Road died on the scene while the second rider was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The accident is the subject of an investigation by the Metro Police’s specialist accident investigation unit.
